Cathedral of Valencia
The Cathedral of Valencia (Catedral de Santa María de Valencia) is located on the Plaza de la Reina in the center of the city. Cathedral La Seu is the largest cathedral in Valencia. The cathedral is open to tourists and is also still used for Christian masses. Besides the cathedral you will find the bell tower El Miguelete, after climbing 207 stairs you have a beautiful view over Valencia.
History
The Valencian Cathedral is dedicated to the Virgin Mary. The church was built between 1262 and 1356 and is a mix of several architectural styles. The cathedral was built in the Romanesque, Gothic and Baroque styles. During your city trip to Valencia, a visit to the Cathedral of Valencia should not be missed.
Holy Grail
The most famous object of the cathedral is the Holy Grail. During the last supper of Jesus he would have drunk from this chalice, this chalice is already in Valencia since the 15th century.

Opening hours
The museum is open daily in high season (April to October) at the following times:
– Monday to Friday from 10:00 to 18:30.
– Saturday from 10:00 to 17:30.
– Sundays and holidays from 14:00 to 17:30.
The Museum is also open in the low season (November to March), but is closed on Sundays. Opening hours are then from 10:00 to 17:30.
Tickets for the museum cost €7,-, with the exception of children between 3 and 12 and people 65+, for these people a ticket costs €5,50. On Sundays you can enter for free. Would you like to take a look at the El Miguelete tower? Then it costs € 2.00.
