Las Arenas is the city beach located next to the port of Valencia. This beach is the closest to the old town and is therefore usually busier than the other beaches that I will mention later. Las Arenas is equipped with various facilities such as sun beds, volleyball courts and a boulevard with numerous restaurants. Besides the bicycle, the bus is the easiest means of transport to reach Las Arenas. Recently Plaza del Ayuntamiento has become a pedestrian zone, but in the area you can take bus line 32 in C \/ Barcas towards Paseo Mar\u00edtimo and 31 in C \/ Poeta Querol with C \/ Barcas towards La Patacona. In the summer months (July 1 to October 14) you can also take the “Tourist shuttle bus” from Ciudad de las Artes y Ciencias to the beach.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After Las Arenas, to the North, you arrive at La Malvarrosa beach. This beach has good facilities such as sun beds, toilets and showers and volleyball courts. There are also several restaurants where you can enjoy a refreshing drink or enjoy a “menu del dia”. Patacona is the furthest away from the old town of Valencia and is therefore a beach where you will mainly meet locals. In the summer months there are also some nice beach bars on Patacona, delicious! Do you feel more active? This is also possible! On the beach there is a surf school where you can take surf lessons or rent a supboard. The beach is accessible by public transport with bus lines 31 and 32.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Port Saplaya is a picturesque harbor town less than an hour by bike from Valencia. However, Port Saplaya is also easily accessible by public transport (bus line 112) or taxi. The town has two city beaches that are separated by a colorful harbor, which is also known as “Little Venice”. Definitely worth taking a look in between sunbathing!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This almost 5-kilometer long sandy beach near the village of El Saler is surrounded by dunes so you can lie on the beach out of the wind. Playa el Saler is very popular with the Spanish locals, cozy! This beach is also, due to the strong wind, very suitable for water sports such as kite and windsurfing.
