El Puig: beach and mountain 365 days a year

Spending few days in Valencia is great, but there are other places very close to the city that you may not know and from Singular Stays we recommend 100%. In this case we are talking about El Puig.

Just 20 minutes from Valencia, El Puig has everything you can imagine: beach, tourist routes, monuments and great cultural attractions… Everything needed to enjoy an unforgettable holiday.

The Royal Monastery of El Puig, which construction started in 1588, should be the first stop for any visitor. There are guided tours and inside of this spectacular monastery, is the Museum of Printing. It is the second largest museum dedicated to a key of invention in the evolution of the Humanity and his visit is highly recommended.

The castle, El Castillo del Rey Jaume I, it is located on the top of the mountain and still conserves one of its three tower and paintings of walls. But what is really spectacular is the view from the top of this hill.

And do not leave the hills of El Puig, because in them the history lovers will find bunkers, trenches, shelters, tunnels and pillboxes of the Civil War, you can visit on the Route of the trenches.

As we are on the Mediterranean coast, we can finish seeing the beaches of El Puig. Playa Medicalia, bordering with La Pobla de Farnals, is semi-urban, like the Barri dels Pescadors. Playa de Puig Val-Play is actually a serie of coves, ideal to disconnect; Playa Plans has a line of dunes that offers a sense of privacy; and Santa Elvira-La Torreta, almost with no waves, it is ideal to go with children.

Can you think of a better plan to meet new places of Valencia Community?
