The bus
One of the frequently used travel options in Valencia is the bus, also called the EMT. For only €1.50 per person you will be taken anywhere. You could also buy a bus card for €10.50 for ten rides, for this you will pay €2.00 for the bus card itself for the first time. If you charge it again it will be cheaper, only €0.85 per person per ride. You can buy a bus card at the Tobaccos and you can also charge the bus card over there. You can easily plan your journey from start to finish via the Moovit app.
The Subway
The metro is also a widely used option in means of travel. With the metro you can easily travel from the airport to the center of the city. You can buy the metro card at the Tobaccos. The Moovit app also displays the current times of the metro. The average price of a ride in the city zone is between €2.50 and €5.00.
The Taxi
The well-known taxi is very affordable in Spain. Short distances usually cost €5-€10 per trip. The available taxis are recognizable by the green lamp on top of the car and the white color. There are several taxi places but you can also stop a taxi by extending your hand.
The Bike
You can rent a bicycle for €8-€10 per day. But there is also another option; the Valenbisi, you can rent this bike for 30 minutes with a card. You can buy the card at the Tobaccos for €30 for one year. Please note that when you leave the bike you have no guarantee that the Valenbisi will still be there when you return. Valenbisi has permanent parking places throughout the city.
The Ecooltra
Ecooltra, the same system as a Valenbisi but then on the scooter. The scooters can be found throughout the whole city. Please note that when you lock the scooter again, you have no guarantee that the scooter will still be there when you return.
The Cabify
Cabify is a taxi, you can download the app on your phone. You pay by credit card or with cash, and the amount will be taken from your account at the end of the month. An advantage is that there is always a Cabify nearby.
