  • Parque Natural de la Albufera

The natural park closest to the city of Valencia is Parque Natural de la Albufera. Rice is cultivated in this 21,000-hectare nature park, which is ultimately used to make delicious paella. You will also find the largest freshwater lake in Spain in this natural park. In winter even a lot of flamingos stay here! Parque Natural de Albufera is located about 12 kilometers from Valencia, so it can be done in 40 minutes by bike. Along the way you can rest on one of the many beaches or enjoy a traditional paella in the village of El Saler.

  • Parque Natural de la Sierra Calderona

The Sierra Calderona Mountains are located in this 17,000-hectare natural park. There are many different animal species to admire, from birds to wild cats. You can reach the nature reserve in about 50 minutes by car.

  • Parque Natural de Chera-Sot de Chera

Do you fancy a sporty day out? In Parque Natural de Chera-Sot de Chera you can go as a hiker or mountaineer. You walk through the mountains, along lakes and waterfalls. You may also encounter turtles or birds of prey along the way! You can be there in an hour by car.

  • Montanejos

With a five quarter of an hour drive you are in the mountain village of Montanejos. This village is known for the many hot springs, such as the Fuente de los Baños. Here you can swim all year round in the warm clear blue water. Lovely!
