Port Saplaya

Port Saplaya is also known as ‘Little Venice’. If you visit this charming village you will immediately discover why! Curious what there is to do? You can read it all in this blog!

This port town in the municipality of Alboraya, is about 8 kilometers from Valencia and it is easily accessible by taxi, bus or bicycle. By taxi from the city center of Valencia in 15 minutes in Port Saplaya, by bus (115A from Torres de Serranos to Polítecnico and 112 from Polítecnico to Port Saplaya) you are there in 40 minutes and by bike in about 30 minutes. There is a beautiful cycling route along the beach of Valencia, so you have a lot to see along the way.

Port Saplaya is a perfect destination for a day trip. The town has two city beaches where you can relax. The beaches have good facilities, such as public showers, sun beds and parasols and accessibility for wheelchair users.

Would you rather swim in a pool? That is also possible in Port Saplaya! On the beach is a public outdoor swimming pool, which you can use all day for €5, while enjoying a drink from the pool bar and the beautiful sea view. Delicious! Take a look at the website http://www.poolbeach.es/ for more information. Fun activities are also organized here, such as windsurfing, supping and yoga.

After all these activities it is of course time to eat something! In Port Saplaya you can eat delicious food along the beach promenade and at the colorful harbor. This is also the perfect place to drink the typical Valencian drink horchata, eat artisanal ice cream and taste a bocadillos de calamares (sandwich with squid rings) with aioli sauce!

In short, there is plenty to do and see for a wonderfully relaxing day out in Port Saplaya. Have fun!
